what can YOU do?

i can tap!
papa signed me up for tap classes and after class lets out i just want to leap into the air and kick my heals together.  i hustle the streets back to the car with a smile that shouts "i have a secret talent!"  i am once again 4 years old and completely smitten by the dream of tapping my life away.  i will never (ever!) get on a stage.  i will never (ever!) wear odd, embarrassing or shimmery outfits- although a 1920's flapper dress has some appeal to it!  i will probably never lace up and click away anytime before 8pm when anyone who cares about dignity is roaming the streets.  but i may buy some cowgirl boots and nail some taps on just for fun!  then i suppose i'd want the hat and dress to go with.  sigh. . . . .isn't tap dancing so romantic?  nostalgic? perfectly modern-vintage?  i think so.  it makes me want to use the word "swoon".  well darling - what can you do?  nothing, you say?  then it's high time to learn something new - i think next up for me will be the trapeze or synchronized swimming  (loathing the swim suit, loving the vintage swim caps! maybe i can skip the swimming and just buy an old swim cap to wear in the shower . . . )

absolutely!

My Sacred Place is a dance room.
The imagination of being in front
of the loud, cheering crowd.
The feel of being in the jungle,
running away from the stress,
running so fast you catch up with
a leopard, beautiful, peaceful
image.
The 6 windows,
the 6 different
views of being high above the ocean,
being free,
going along with the waves of the oceans.
The hip hop beat filling
the air, dropping to the floor,
when the beat drops,
then the freedom
ends.

This brought so many memories back Julie. I still love to dance, even being the gimp that I am. If only to find the man to hold me and slow dance one dance and to hear that song where there is a shuffle toe heal tap toe! Love, hugs and prayers plus a kiss or two and a tear down my cheek today

Lovely! Sometime when you're putting on a show for the kids I'll sneak in to watch too. :)
Love you!
